VPK Pre-K Classrooms
Our Pre-K hours are 7:45am-1:45pm
School Supplies:
You do not need to send in any school supplies. All school supplies are provided by the State of Tennessee because our program is completely funded by the State.
Snack:
We will have a snack every afternoon in our Pre-K rooms. We need your help with this! Once a month please bring a class set of snacks: 20 snacks We will not give you a specific date to bring in snacks each month please just bring them in once a month whenever is convenient for you. If you would like to also send in 20 juice boxes once a month that would be great too--but this is not required!
Please send in a reusable water bottle for your Pre-K kiddo! Make sure you label it! This will stay in your child's backpack. Please wash it every weekend.

Extra Clothing:
Please send in a change of clothes in a gallon size Ziploc bag (shirt, pants or shorts, underwear & socks). This will stay in your child's backpack as well just incase your child has an accident.
Homework:
Every PreK student has a take-home folder. Inside the folder are clear protective sleeves containing homework pages. Please practice the items in this folder 2-3 times a week: colors, shapes, uppercase letter names and sounds, lowercase letter names and sounds, number identification, counting objects, birthday, home address, phone number, body parts, etc.
There is also a reading log located at the back of the folder. Please read to your child EVERY night! This is the most important thing you can do during your child's PreK year to prepare them for kindergarten! 🙂
