Principal's Bio
I am excited to be the principal of Eakin Elementary! I have been in education for over 30 years in Bedford County and have been principal at Learning Way for the past 5 years. I have a Master's Degree and an EDS in School Administration from Trevecca and MTSU. I taught first, second, and fourth grade at East Side and Thomas Magnet School. And I was the assistant principal at Community Middle School before becoming a principal.
I am a lifelong resident of Bedford County. I have been married to Johnny Reed for over 38 years. He is the Bedford County Register of Deeds. We have 2 adult children (Ashley and Tripp) and two Havanese dogs that are our babies. I love to sew, craft, do needlework, read, and do anything involving water when I am not working.
Education is my passion! It is not just a job for me, I feel called to be here and I will do my best to support you and your students daily.
