🚢🏆 Engineering Challenge Accepted! 🏆🚢

Rising 4th graders in Mrs. Woods', Ms. Stewart's and Ms. Gochee's classes at #EakinElementarySchool's Summer Learning Camp put their engineering skills to the test with a boat-building challenge this week!

Using only aluminum foil, #students designed and built boats that could float while holding as much weight as possible. They then tested their creations in water, adding linking cubes to see which design could hold the most weight before sinking.💧

The competition was fierce, and the winning boat held an impressive 51 linking cubes! 🎉👏

Through hands-on learning and problem solving, students explored engineering concepts while putting their creativity and critical thinking skills to work. 🚀✨

🍦🧪 Science Has Never Been So Sweet! 🧪🍦

At #EakinElementarySchool's Summer Learning Camp, rising 4th graders explored changes in matter through a delicious hands on science experiment!

With the help of their teachers Ms. Gochee, Mrs. Woods and Mrs. Stewart, #students discovered how liquid milk can change into frozen ice cream by making their own ice cream in a bag. As they mixed, shook and observed the transformation, students experienced science in action while enjoying a tasty treat.

These engaging learning experiences help students connect scientific concepts to real world applications through observation, exploration and discovery. ✨
